A study of the crescendo/decrescendo and pith characteristics of spinning objects. Coins, metal washers, and an aluminum hoop, along with the toy called Chinese Yo-Yo make up the sound sources. The spinning objects were set whirling on a wooden crate and an old tin box. Composed at Soundwork Studio with the assistance of a Composer Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and as fulfillment of a long-standing commission from my brother Peter and sister-in-law Annette.
